Read MoreWhen we examine the eternal Word of God you will discover that the phrase “secret place” can be identified as a physical location. For instance, in Psalm 37:7 the Word of God declares, “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.” (KJV) However, the phrase "secret place" is also a reference to the way our soul is in sync to a rich and real relationship with God. Consider what we read in Psalms 27:5: “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” (KJV) Did you notice the personal pronouns? God prioritizes our relationship with Him. He will personally take action to procure our protection in His pavilion and establish us in a position of security and stability by placing us on His rock. These verses along with our opening text point to the significance of a secret place.

You see, I am totally convinced that the Word of God is the only answer for the sin-sick soul. The incarnation and the personification of the Word of God (Jesus Christ) can completely address life’s issues. It takes the power of heaven to heal the human condition. Second, our text identifies the source as supernatural as opposed to natural.
