A Man According to Our Master and Maker (GOD)
A Man According to Our Master and Maker (GOD)
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. -- Genesis 1:27
This writer vigorously believes that he has been washed in the blood of the Lamb and clothed with the Lord’s righteousness. And by faith forwards the biblical truth that unbelievers are blinded from the gospel because of Satan and are under his authority.
Revelation 1:5 — And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Isaiah 61:10 — I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
2 Corinthians 4:3–4 — But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
1 John 5:19 — And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
Lieth = lies in the power of the evil one, i.e., is held in subjection by the devil.
Therefore, it is only natural that children of disobedience espouse contradictory viewpoints of what being a man is all about.
Ephesians 2:2 — Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Unbelievers are incarcerated and influenced by blindness and drop into a deep chasm of corruption and confusion. Moreover, they are loyal subjects of a kingdom gripped and galvanized by the evil one. Subsequently, they are led to adopt an affirmation about manhood that categorically contradicts what is wholly established in Scripture.
The world (unbelieving mankind) purports that being a man involves boulder-size belief in individualism and self-reliance, a functional knowledge of firearms, and masquerades around like miniature Ronnie Colemans (eight-time bodybuilder—Mr. Olympia winner).
Others are under the opinion that being a man is connected to getting in touch with one’s feelings, kindling a flame of kindness for the less privileged, and being vulnerable. However, some would have you believe that leadership skills, a competent and consistent work ethic, astronomical assets, or sexual prolificacy is the quintessential personification of what a man is.
Is it plausible to present and propose that all these things define what a man is, or is there an irrevocable alternative to what a world alienated from God advances?
The answer is a resounding yes!! And what a man, a mighty good man, that our Master and Maker has envisioned for everyone to experience and embrace.
We will pick it up next time.
