The Facts and Features of False Prophets Part 2

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

We will walk right into this week’s blog defining what a false apostle is. In addition, we will also consider a counterpart to a false apostle, false prophets. Both are in bed with Beelzebub, another name for Satan.

According to the word of God (the scriptures), a false apostle is somebody who causes born again believers to wander and walk away from a real and rich relationship with the Lord, and they are deliberate in their desire to devour your devotion to the Lord. They are satanic spawns and forerunners of the ultimate and ungodly False Prophet that is part of what I refer to as the twisted trinity. In general, many employ the designation of the "unholy trinity".

As students of the scriptures, we know from prophecy that in the future, specifically the closing chapter of this turbulent terrestrial ball, during the time of the tribulation period, Satan will create and complete a corrupted copy of the Holy Trinity (The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit). The "unholy trinity" is Satan, the antichrist/beast and the False prophet.

A persistent and perverse ploy of Satan is to corruptly copy the things of God for the soul purpose to present himself as God. What is generally referred to as the “unholy trinity,” is distinctively defined in Revelation chapters 12 and 13. While the Holy Trinity is identified and marked by endless truth, righteousness, love, peace, mercy and goodness, the "unholy trinity" depicts the diametrically opposite traits of deception, unrighteousness, detestation, warfare, brutality and all out evil.

Satan is the anti-God, the Beast is the anti-Christ, and the False Prophet is the anti-Spirit. This "unholy trinity" will muster up a maelstrom of maltreatment for born again believers. and subsequently, because of the False prophet’s deception, countless souls will deliberately sign up for eternal separation from God, known as the second death.

The word of God is rich and robust with words of warning and awareness about false apostles, prophets, and teachers. Here are some powerful passages that authoritatively address their deception and how born-again believers can shield their souls against it:

2 Corinthians 11:13–15
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Jeremiah 23:21-22
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to
them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

I encourage you to join me next as I close this series on False apostles. We will set a lase focus on their features and falsehoods.
