The Facts and Features of False Apostles Part 3

In last week’s blog I declared that According to the word of God, the scriptures, a false apostle is somebody who causes born again believers to wander and walk away from a real and rich relationship with the Lord.

Influenced by an insidious and iniquitous spirit, false apostles are individuals who imitate Christian leaders and are deliberate in their desire to devour your devotion to the Lord. In addition, false apostles assert apostolic authority, however they deceptively drag others astray from the true doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We who are students of the scriptures know that ubiquitous doctrines of devils or demons existed in the past, exist in our current context, and will exist in the future, specifically in the last days.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Now let’s set a laser focus on the features and falsehoods of a false apostle.

False apostles:

* Preach a broken and bent gospel that turns people away from the true gospel.

Galatians 1:6-7 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

 * Clothe themselves with a clandestine wardrobe declaring to be apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

*Personally pursue profit and play on believers.

2 Corinthians 11:20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

*Are depicted as savage wolves that seek to devour the flock.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

 * Distort and disrespect the truth to draw away disciples.

Acts 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

* Champion self-exaltation and self-gratification to exalt themselves.

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

*Will appear in any location where the word of God is not elected and exalted as the supreme authority.

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

False apostles and prophets routinely share messages that sound compelling, but their words walk countless souls away from the word of God and the living word, Jesus Christ.  STAYING SCRIPTURED UP, PREACHED UP, PRAYED UP, SPIRITED UP AND DISCERNED UP are perfect practices of prevention against the perversions and spiritual pollution of the false apostles.
