The Blessing of Belonging to a Benevolent God - Part 1

The Blessing of Belonging to a Benevolent God – Part 1

I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.
Psalm 119:94

I don’t feel that I belong to God—on the contrary, I know I belong to God! I pray that you can emphatically echo this personal proclamation. In our spiritual journey, we will face failure and fix ourselves in falsehood when we are feeling it as opposed to knowing it by faith. Remember, the Word of God declares that “we walk by faith and not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7

Our relationship with our Father is fortified and forwarded in faith with respect to what our Father has declared, done, and His demonstration of love for us. Therefore, it is only right that He requires faith and trust for a relationship with Him.

Psalm 145:18 – The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.(integrity/faithfulness)

Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 10:22–23 – Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Brothers and sisters, we are deeply loved by God, and in Biblical Christianity, faith is not just an abstruse application that has arrested our attention, but a fundamental requirement for a relationship with God and the reception of His promises. The Word of God consistently emphasizes the necessity of faith as a prerequisite for salvation, righteous living, and the fulfillment of God's promises.

Saving faith gives us the knowledge that we belong to God, which advances a considerable difference in our lives. As sons and daughters of the Most High God, one of the supreme truths we have positioned ourselves in and proclaim is that we belong to God. This special connection gives us comfort, strength, and hope. The Bible reminds us over and over that we are God’s beloved children, and He cares for us deeply and has wonderfully welcomed us into His family.

For the next two weeks, we will explore some exceptional passages in the Word of God that powerfully capture this considerable Christian concept of belonging to God. These passages will enhance and expand our comprehension connected to our Father’s favor, love, and acceptance towards His children. We all have experienced a sense that God is silent, and we feel separated from His presence. Those miserable moments are marvelously mitigated when we receive His redirection by reading and accepting by faith what God’s Word records regarding our amazing relationship with Him.

Not a sermon. Just some thoughts.
